Under the Sustainable Indian Ocean Biogeochemical and Ecological Research (SIBER) and Marine Living Resources (MLR) programs of Centre for Marine Living Resources and Ecology (CMLRE), Cochin, the following JRF positions are to be filled up based on Walk-in Interview to be held on 4thAugust 201 1 at 10 AM at CMLRE, Cochin.

Junior Research Fellow (3 nos.) Essential qualifications - First class M.Sc in Chemical Oceanography/ Analytical Chemistry /Hydrochemistry/ Environmental Science or equivalent from any recognized university. Desirable - Knowledge on biogeochemical processes in the coastal and deep-sea regions and sophisticated analytical instruments like HPLC, TOC analyzer, Elemental analyser, Gas Chromatograph, etc. Junior Research Fellow (5 nos.)  Essential qualifications - First class M.Sc in Marine Biology/Zoology/Environmental science or equivalent from any recognized university. Desirable - Knowledge on phytoplankton and zooplankton identification, biogeochemical processes, food-web dynamics, etc. Junior Research Fellow (1 no.) Essential qualifications - First class M.Sc in Microbiology/ Marine Biology/ Zoology/ Environmental Science or equivalent from any recognized university. Desirable - Knowledge on Bacterial identification, their metabolism, culturing, food web dynamics, biogeochemical processes, etc. Junior Research Fellow (2 no.) Essential qualifications - First class M.Sc in Fishery/ Biotechnology/ Marine Biology/ Zoology or equivalent from any recognized university.
